Macky, Mowie, and Sunny

Macky and Sunny are informally being charged with ‘improper water behavior’ for misbehaving during the afternoon hours of Tuesday, July 17th, pending investigation.  It is believed that Sunny flipped over the water dish causing the water to spread over a small area of the new flooring.  Macky is believed to be the mastermind behind this plot to destroy the new floor and bring back the carpet.

According to our private sources (read: Mowie), Macky has been quoted as saying, “this place is mine! I’m only letting those humans live here!  I want carpet back! Oh, oh, new poop in the litterbox, gotta go!”

If formally charged, Macky and Sunny coud face up to one week of no cookies.

Well, here’s an update.  Finally, I know.  More pictures to follow in the coming days, too.

Mowie: Not much has changed with Mowie.  She still really enjoys to eat and runs to the food bowls as soon as I place them down.  As of late, she’s been a bit more playful than usual.  She seems to get in these hyper moods and actually instigates the kittens to pick on her.  Which results in her flipping out and screaming bloody murder.  My neighbors must love it.

Macky:  Macky is still the same old kitten — just longer and taller.  He’s grown so much, but remains a thin cat.  Macky still loves to be chased (even when no one is actually chasing him) and enjoys playing fetch from time to time.  He’s currently enjoying his new bed — something we weren’t expecting since he loves sleeping in akward positions and locations.  He has matured greatly, but he still has many of his kitten habits like biting toes in the middle of the night.  Worst thing ever.

Sunny:  Sunny has grown up big time.  He’s a real cat these days — sleeps 90% of the time, eats 5% of the time, and chases his brother and sister 5% of the time.  He loves the couch more than ever and you can ALWAYS find him sleeping in the cracks of the cushion.  He’s still a big time mush and enjoys cuddle time with momma and hard belly rubs by dada.

Macky played fetch tonight.  Really, he did.  Over and over again.

I noticed he dropped one of his many toy mice near my feet and proceded to just sit in front of me.  I picked it up, chucked it down the hallway, and he, like usual, ran after it.  A few seconds later, he ran back full force towards me with the toy mouse in his mouth.  He dropped it a few inches from my feet.  I picked it up, again, and chucked it down the hallway.

Macky proceeded to run back towards me, mouse in mouth, only to drop it near my feet, again.  This happeneded several times over.  We were clearly playing fetch.

I knew Rebecca taught her cat (and Macky’s uncle, Butchie) how to play fetch, but I never imagined that Macky would pick up this trait.

Now, I just need to get this on video so you all believe me.

No, not here on the website. I mean, here at my condo. Not that he ever left. But he’s been here for a year.

Well, it’s been a full year now that we’ve had Macky. Shocking, I know, Isn’t it. You’re telling me.

Macky is quite the healthy cat these days (knock on wood) compared to when we first found him as well as the first few months. He has grown into such a wonderful cat with a wonderful personality. Sure, he gets into trouble every now and then, but who doesn’t these days? (Afterall, look what Sunny did a few days ago) He finally eats breakfast and dinner. Pooping is still abnormally high (it’s normal, I swear, we just like to amuse ourselves by saying Macky poops every second of the day). And he’s becoming quite the mushy cat — when he’s not pooping, not attacking mowie, not breathing nasty cat breathe on momma, and not biting our toes in the middle of the night. Oh, and when he’s not climbing up the curtains in the living room. Yeah, I’d say he’s really calmed down.

So, lets all say congrats to Macky for making it a full year under our supervision. I know it was rough, Macky, but you did it.

One last note, Sunny is coming up on a year living at my place, too. He deserves some congrats as well, but it’s not really quite a milestone for him. He’s won like, 9 consecutive cat-of-the-month awards. We’ve always expected him to be alive and healthy one year in.

As for the awards, Macky has really given Sunny a run for his money these last few months. Mowie, too. She often goes overlooked during the award ceremony because she’s always a wonderful cat. Macky and Sunny, though, yeah, they’re definitely brothers.

Apparently Sunny wants to look more like Macky these days.  Or it’s just that Sunny went on an adventure this afternoon into the fireplace.  And got really, really, really dirty.

We have a new domain (finally) so that Mowie gets the full respect that she so deserves.
