Our Story
Story as told by Sunny
These are our biological parents….Dad on the top and Mom on the bottom…
I look just like Dad! We were born to homeless parents (at least mom is) Doesn’t she look great after having 5 kids?
We made our first public appearance on May 31, 2006, we were just 5 weeks old! Of course, we were the first two kittens to come out, we’ve been inseparable since day 1. Here’s us on June 1, 2006
Unfortunately, June 2, 3 and 4th were very rainy days, and Mac got separated from the family somehow. On June 5, Macky saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Then he heard his new mommy’s voice scream and felt someone pick him up. They both thought he was dead. Luckily, his little belly was still breathing, even though the flies and maggots already started their business on him. He was rushed to the vet and bottle fed for a full week. He was so skinny, he weighed less than a half a pound!
In the meantime, I never stopped looking for my brother…
“Maaaaaaac?” Not in the cinder block.
He wasn’t sleeping in this can of nails with the rest of us either. (Yes I CAN sleep on a bed of nails!)
Once Macky was healthy, his new parents decided to give me a home too! We’re so happy to be back together…
