Notes

Note to self:

Sunny will make your hand soaking wet, by licking it, when he’s readying himself for bed.

When Sunny is not around, Macintosh will not bite. Instead, Macintosh will lick your fingers beyond soaking wet.

And when Sunny is around, Mac will continously bite your fingers when he’s readying himself for bed.

Mac will continously bite your toes in the middle of the night while you’re trying to sleep.

And more than likely, Mac will try to bite your forehead, in the middle of the night, while you’re trying to sleep.

I love these kittens.

Guess What!

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

Macintosh’s blood results came in today. He officially tested NEGATIVE for feline leukemia and aids! So I believe it’s safe to assume that Sunny is free of that stinky virus, too.

The virus typically runs in stray cats — which Mac and Sunny just happen to be. I was previously nervous that they were infected, but it was such a relief hearing that they’re perfectly healthy.

Either way, with the virus or not, I’m going to give them the best home and life possible.

Sleepies

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

Apparently, Mac and Sunny discovered they could climb up my blanket, which was dangling off the side, to reach the full comforts of bedding.

Too bad they don’t realize that in a few hours, they’ll be moved to the floor so that I can sleep.

Too bad I don’t even realize that I’m sleeping on the couch.

They’re Back!

Macintosh is back home at my place and his return brings his brother, Sunny!

Bye Mac

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

Two weeks ago, I was psyched to go on this cruise. I mean totally psyched — new places to see, a new adventure, and certainly time away from the rib-joint and Rutgers.

And now? As we leave for the cruise tomorrow afternoon? My feelings have certainly changed. I never imagined how a little kitten could impact my feelings. He’s such an incredible little guy and already holds so much of my love. I’m sure going to miss him. I plan on bringing him home some sunglasses, maybe some Bahamas sand, too. Oh, and a neat little pina colada umbrella, too.

I miss him so much already and I haven’t even left New Jersey yet. :(

The good news? We just might be coming home to Mac and one of his brothers or sisters. Keep your fingers crossed! Two bundles of joy! If it’s a boy, I’m hoping to name him Pixel. And a girl? Maggie or Pixie. Regardless, we gave full naming rights to Rebecca’s parents. I just hope they keep our suggestions in their thoughts. ;)

Stay tuned, see you in a week or so!

Anita Vet

Friday, June 9th, 2006

I cannot believe how well Mac has improved over the last few days. He’s a constant ball of energy and so completely curious about his surroundings. Mac is eating like crazy to the point where we’re almost tempted to ask him to stop — and to think, just two days ago, we were begging him to eat.

He’s the cutest thing in the world.

We took him to the vet today, because the poor guy has yet to poop (sorry Mac, didn’t mean to blow up your spot). She gave him some form of tooth-paste-looking-cream. I sure hope that cat decides to poop one of these days. Regardless, she said Mac was doing just fine. :D

Macintosh

Macintosh (Mac, Big Mac, etc) was brought into our lives just yesterday. We found him barely alive in Rebecca’s driveway — grasping for air, barely moving, and covered with parasites.

A vet trip and twelve hours later, he’s coming around for the better — eating food off of our fingers, peeing all over me, and meowing left and right.

Lets just hope he continues to improve. He has a great life ahead of him.
